Helen Morgan MP – Member of Parliament for North Shropshire – has given a warm welcome to Freedom Fibre who are currently building a lightning-fast, full-fibre broadband network in Whitchurch.
Broadband services in and around Whitchurch are still reliant on copper phoneline-based technology, with some homes and businesses having internet speeds as low as 10Mb/s. With Freedom Fibre’s new full-fibre network, homes and businesses will soon be able to enjoy internet speeds up to 1000Mb/s!
Helen joined Freedom Fibre’s engineers this week to see the roll out of the network first-hand. Helen said:
“It’s great to see Freedom Fibre rolling out the full-fibre network in North Shropshire. So many residents and businesses in North Shropshire suffer from poor broadband, so I’m delighted to hear that lightning-fast broadband is right around the corner for local businesses and residents.”
Gavin Brown, Freedom Fibre’s Head of Mobilisation, said:
“We were delighted to be able to show Helen the roll-out of the full-fibre network in Whitchurch first-hand. Our build plans are progressing well and we look forward to connecting our first residents this autumn.”
Residents interested in taking advantage of the full-fibre network can register to be notified when the service is available in their street.
