Freedom Fibre Provides Hundreds in Grants to Ellesmere Port Community Groups

Two community groups from Ellesmere Port have been awarded grants from Freedom Fibre’s Freedom Fund, a community fund designed to support good and green community projects.

Stamford Street Allotment Society was awarded £250 to contribute towards a sensory garden for the community, in which our grant will go towards a wheelchair accessible path and vegetable bed. Friends of Elm Grove Community Park was awarded £400 to contribute towards reseeding the park’s wildflower areas, create a hawthorn hedge, plants for the on-fence planters and current bare patch, ongoing maintenance of the park as a whole, mowing the grass, and picking litter.

Freedom Fibre first launched The Freedom Fund in October 2022 to support community groups delivering environmental projects. Freedom Fibre is currently rolling out its lightning-fast, full-fibre network to homes and businesses in Ellesmere Port. If you are interested in connecting to our full-fibre network, please register your interest online.
