Freedom Fibre announces its expansion into Shropshire with plans to rollout its full-fibre gigabit-capable network to Whitchurch, Wem and Prees.
Freedom Fibre’s North West based full-fibre network is to be expanded into Shropshire in the Spring of 2022. Construction of the £5 million network has commenced, which extensively uses the existing BT Openreach infrastructure of underground ducts and existing telegraph poles wherever possible to minimise disruption to residents as well as being more environmentally friendly.
Work has already started in this area and residents are likely to start being connected in the Spring.
Chief Finance Officer, Darren Woods added, “Our initial build has been focused around North Cheshire and South Manchester, and while we will continue to build in these areas, we are delighted to be expanding into Shropshire to offer the benefits of full-fibre to residents in Whitchurch, Prees and Wem”.
Marie Danby, Freedom Fibre’s Service Operations Director said, “Already residents are telling us how excited they are to sign up for the service after suffering from poor speeds for some time. Customers will be able to access speeds of up to 500mb through TalkTalk, making a huge difference to how they can use broadband at home”.
Residents interested in getting their home broadband speeds ultra-boosted can pre-register their interest at www.freedomfibre.com/register and they will receive more information as soon as services are available.
